Along the way, we learned about the pros and cons of different areas in Portugal. Think we visited more than 20 properties. Not easy to arrange when living abroad. You need to feel a place, the surroundings. Talk to some locals, breathe the air. That's why we now recommend spending some time in the region of your choice before signing a CPCV. (Contrato Promessa de Compra e Venda).
In the end, we fell in love with Alvados and the beautiful central region.
